Jen Lake is a Newfoundland writer whose work explores the raw and unfiltered moments that shape a life. Her debut collection, “Jenny, with the Dark Brown Hair,” is built from unscripted thoughts, lived experiences, and the quiet reflections that arise in the spaces between heartbreak, growth, and healing.

Spanning four decades, her writing invites readers to grow up alongside “Jenny”—moving from the innocence of childhood, through the turbulence of adolescence, and into the complicated terrain of love, grief, fear, and self-discovery.
